Chartier Longhorns is a veteran-owned and operated ranch, proudly founded in 2022. Owner Allen Chartier, an Army Veteran, first fell in love with Texas Longhorns while stationed in Texas and always dreamed of owning a herd. That dream became reality when the Chartier family started with just three cows, laying the foundation for a breeding program focused on quality over quantity.
With a commitment to keeping the herd small and selective, we ensure that every animal meets our high standards. This approach allows us to focus on genetics, structure, and temperament, producing superior Longhorns while preserving the heritage and integrity of the breed.
